Choose a car around your ownership plans

Tell Han whether you want an original example, a documented modified car or a project. An original-looking cabin and fresh paint do not establish a car’s history. Compare the chassis number, seller description, inspection findings and records before deciding which asking price represents the best fit.

Make body condition a priority

Request photographs of the underside, sills, wheel arches, jacking points and engine bay. Where access allows, review signs of corrosion, previous repairs and fresh coatings that could conceal older work. A car with more miles and good records may be easier to assess than one with a low reading and little supporting history.

Budget beyond the purchase

Leave room for age-related maintenance after arrival, including fluids, tyres, belts, hoses and work identified by an inspection. Han can help clarify the purchase and transport costs; mechanical work and local registration should be considered separately.
